Where can I get a free domain along with a free website?

I have no idea how to create my own domain or website. I want something that is free, too. Can anybody out there walk me through this? The most complete answer will receive 10 points. Thank you.

1. You cannot have a domain and a website for free. You may be able to find a subdomain (like http://myrockinsite.domain.com) that gives you free website, but you will most likely have to suffer ads and not having your own domain.
2. Hi, I don't know any service which gives you a free domain name (.tk maybe), yet several free hosting services are available. You could choose a subdomain instead. Otherwise, if you need a really cheap domain name, you could choose a .info domain with a start1m plan (http://www.ovh.com/fr/produits/start1m.xml) on OVH. It'll cost you 1.08€ with taxes and you'll get a .info domain with a small space (1Mb). It could be enough to start... 3. You probably won't find anyone to give you a free domain, however, you can buy one for around $2/year from cheap-domainnames.com. There are lots of free hosts out there, you just need to search a bit. geocities (which is run by yahoo I think) has free web hosting.The free web hosts will have lots of limits (ie. no video/audio, low amounts of storage, low monthly banwidth limits etc) but they're fine for a basic website. However, if you want to do anything beyond basic, I'd find a host. Personally, I use www.startlogic.com. They charge around $60/year. However, there are cheaper alternatives out there. www.hostmagix.com has a package that is around $3.50/month. There are probably even cheaper places out there. Just do a search for "web hosting" and you'll get tons of matches. Hope this helps.
